Through My Lens at Victoria Hall for the 18th Anniversary of Kosovo’s Independence
Date: 23.02.2026
On February 23, 2026, I had the profound honour of serving as photographer for the celebration of the 18th Anniversary of Kosovo’s Independence, marked by a magnificent and solemn concert at Victoria Hall in Geneva.
This exceptional evening was exquisitely organized and graciously hosted by the General Consulate of Kosovo in Geneva, whose refined coordination and distinguished reception elevated the celebration into a truly prestigious and memorable occasion.
The event brought together distinguished personalities from Swiss, Albanian, and Kosovar diplomacy, reflecting the strength of institutional ties and the shared values of culture, history, and mutual respect.
Within the majestic setting of Victoria Hall, music became the language of the night. The luminous tenor voice of Rame Lahaj, the refined and expressive soprano Marigona Qerkezi, and the sensitive mastery of pianist Kamal Khan created a powerful artistic dialogue that resonated far beyond the stage. Their performance filled the hall with emotion, elegance, and collective pride.
Documenting this exceptional gathering — welcoming over 1,000 guests — was both a significant responsibility and a deeply meaningful experience. Through my lens, I sought to capture not only moments, but atmosphere; not only presence, but the spirit of a community united in celebration.
